The Foundation in Environmental and Climate Studies is a one-year interdisciplinary program designed to build strong academic and practical foundations in environmental science, climate change, and sustainable development. The program equips learners with essential knowledge, skills, and values needed to understand global environmental challenges and contribute to climate solutions at local, national, and global levels.
Program Structure (12 Months):
Semester 1: Fundamentals of Environment & Ecology, Introduction to Climate Science, Sustainability Concepts, Environmental Ethics
Semester 2: Climate Change Impacts & Adaptation, Renewable Energy Basics, Environmental Policy & Governance, Community-Based Climate Action
Final Phase: Fieldwork/Internship, Research Project, and Capstone Presentation
Learning Outcomes:
Students will develop a clear understanding of climate systems, human–environment interactions, and sustainable practices. Graduates will gain practical exposure through field studies, hands-on projects, and community engagement, strengthening skills in critical thinking, research, communication, and climate leadership.
Career & Academic Pathways:
The program prepares students for further studies in environmental science, climate policy, sustainable development, or related disciplines, as well as entry-level roles in NGOs, research institutions, green enterprises, and community organizations aligned with climate action goals supported by Global Climate Change Foundation.
